Clearedge supplied 2 x 5kL/hr Containerised Water Treatment Systems to a client in Gabon through Bolt Modular.
A water analysis showed elevated levels of Iron in the feed water. The treatment process is as follows:
Raw Water > Filter Pump > Flow Control > Sand Filter > Iron Filter > Carbon Filter > Bag Filter > Disinfection (Chlorine dosing) > Clean Water Storage > Booster Pumps to site
This system is equipped with a Clean Water Backwash from the booster pumps controlled by a normally-closed solenoid valve linked to the automatic backwash valves on the filters. When the backwash starts the chlorine dosing pump is disengaged, saving costs on chemicals.
The dosing pump is eclosed in a weatherproof enclosure. Dosing pumps operate at high pressures and we have found that with time and neglect the tubes become brittle, pop or break, and spray corrosive Sodium Hypochlorite all over the other equipment. So we have standardised our dosing systems inside enclosures - not to protect the pump, but to protect the other equipment in the event of an incident.
Our DB boards are designed and built in-house. From waterproofing the floor, to electrifying the container, installing the filters and dry-commissioning the system before it leaves our manufacturing site, nothing is outsourced and we control the quality and workmanship at every step.
